should a samba group have approached the tower of london in its fully operational heyday, there may have been a number of outcomes. ending up in the moat being preferable to some others. this night we played the moat. it was not the last moat that rotc would play, but the most glorious. who invited us? jamie cullum, and he not only ‘got down’ with our dancers, but picked up a drum of his own and joined in. jamie had been especially supportive of the f-ire collective (rotc’s parent organisation) and continued to big us up through radio shows and interviews. can’t ask for much more. he is pictured here with rosana…. out of shot 3 more dancers and 20 percussionists.
